The Peoria Education Foundation is proud to partner with the Alliance of Nonprofits and Arizona Grantmakers Forum to participate in Arizona Gives Day on Tuesday, April 7. Arizona Gives Day is a statewide, 24-hour, online giving campaign that takes place in early April each year. The program has helped raised more than $17 million for Arizona’s nonprofit sector.
Donors can give through the Peoria Education Foundation profile on the Arizona Gives Day website at www.azgives.org/peoriaedfoundation. These donations help provide college scholarships to students and grants to teachers for innovative classrooms programs.
Through the work of the Foundation, the students of the Peoria Unified School District experience a rewarding educational journey that is both instructional and interactive. Together, with support from the community, students can accomplish more than ever before. Donors can give the gift of education and opportunities for students to develop their potential and plan for success in their future.
While the Foundation helps supports students, each school year they also provide thousands of dollars in grants to teachers and principals in the Peoria Unified School District. Dozens of teachers receive funds each year to enrich their classrooms with invaluable things to enhance the learning experience such as art, technology, literacy resources and science materials. The Foundation also holds an emergency needs fund to help students through financial emergencies.
Though Arizona Gives Day only happens once a year, Arizona Gives (AZGives.org) is available for year-round giving. Donors can create an account to pre-schedule donations, set-up recurring donations and make changes to their giving throughout the year, or they can checkout as a guest and give immediately.
