Our school is A rated!

We are proud to announce that our school received an A Label from the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). This “A” represents that our school has distinguished performance on statewide assessments and student growth, and that our overall performance is higher than the state average. Our teachers and students have worked incredibly hard to earn this recognition.

The letter grade system for accountability is determined by the Arizona Department of Education and measures year to year student academic growth, proficiency on English language arts, math and science, the proficiency and academic growth of English language learners, indicators that an elementary student is ready for success in high school and that high school students are ready to succeed in a career or higher education and high school graduation rates.

As a district, we have multiple ways to measure student success; the A through F Accountability System is just one of those tools. Throughout the school year, there are a variety of ways teachers assess how students are doing in their classroom, including classwork, homework, quizzes, projects, and teacher and counselor observations about your child’s growth. Remember, your child’s teachers and our administrative team are your best resources for information about individual and overall academic progress.

Our school is proud to be part of the A-Rated Peoria Unified School District. Peoria Unified celebrates the release of school letter grades for its 42 graded schools, with 95 percent receiving an A or B label. Included in that number are all eight Peoria Unified high schools which earned A-labels. Thirteen Peoria Unified schools increased their grade by one letter and 28 increased their earned percentage points.
