Hello LPE Families! |
As we approach the end of the school year, we wanted to send out a few reminders from the Health Office.
If your student has medications in the nursing office, a parent will need to pick them up by dismissal time (11:00am) on the last day of school May 22. This includes any inhalers, EpiPen's, seizure medications, Tylenol, cough drops, etc… We are not allowed to give medications back to students – it must be parent pick up. Anything left in the nursing office after this day and time will be disposed of at a pharmacy. We are not allowed to keep medications in the nursing office over the summer break. Please plan in your schedule over the remaining weeks of school to pick up medications.
If you child requires school treatment plans for diabetes, seizures, asthma, anaphylaxis, or any other condition that could lead to emergent medical care, a new treatment plan is required for your student each new school year. Please plan accordingly this summer so that this documentation is ready for the next school year to provide to the nursing office.
Please submit any vaccinations acquired over the summer to the nursing office. This is also another reminder that students require a Tdap and meningitis vaccination after turning 11 years old. Please ensure your students are getting these vaccinations updated once they have turned 11 and that the documentation is brought to the nursing office.
Thank you!
